Mars Mod Reborn Wiki
The "Mars Mod Reborn" mod re-creates the "Mars Mod" by themorfeus, which was built for Minecraft beta 1.7.3 and was deleted 4-6 years ago. It was made for nostalgic reasons and is for Minecraft 1.14.4 Forge version 28.2.3 specifically (it did work on older versions but was very buggy!). It adds all content, textures and models in the original mod plus a few additions that were unfinished. I managed to find the old mod somewhere on the internet and used their textures (credit to pekpyt96).

The Mars Dimension Portal
Portal frame is the Infused Block of Redstone and the lighter is the Redstone Orb.
Dimension Biomes
Martian Plains
Top layer is Mars Sand, underground layer is Mars Rock.
Rocky Martian Plains
Top layer is Smooth Mars Rock, underground layer is Mars Rock.
Basalt Martian Hills
Top layer is Mars Basalt, underground layer is Mars Rock.
Rocky Martian Mountains
Top and underground layer is Mars Rock.
Structures
Mars Volcano
Made from Mars Basalt. Can be found on Mars in the Basalt Martian Hills biome.
Lost Villager's House
Where the Lost Villagers live. Made from Quartz and can be found on Mars in the Martian Plains and Rocky Martian Plains biomes. Includes a loot chest.
Martian Church
Where the Ancient Martian is buried. Made from the new Mars Stone bricks. Can be found on Mars in the Martian Plains and Rocky Martian Plains biomes. Includes a couple of loot chests.
Meteor
There is a 0.01% chance of a Meteor to crash down on Mars
MOBS
Mars Alien
The Mars Alien is a passive mob that spawns in the Mars Dimension. It drops 0-2 Lava Buckets.
Rotten Mars Alien
The Rotten Mars Alien is an aggressive mob that was transformed from a Mars Alien if entered the Overworld. It drops 0-2 Mars Glowstone Dust.
Lost Villager
Lost Villagers are a passive mob that spawn in their house on the Mars Dimension. They follow you when you're holding an Emerald. They don't drop anything and cannot be traded with - they're just lost and in need of help! If spawned in Overworld, Nether or End, it will turn into a vanilla Villager.
Ancient Martian
New boss that shoots Martian Fireballs at you, come prepared because you'll have to fight him in your space suit! You can summon it by destroying an Ancient Coffin found in the Martian Church. He drops 9-18 Crystallized Magnesium and Magnesium Ingot, 95% Crystallized and 5% Ingot.
Blocks
Infused Block of Redstone
The Infused Redstone Block is used as the frame to create the Portal to Mars. You can get it by smelting a Block of Redstone in a Furnace. It requires a Stone Pickaxe or greater to be mined.
Mars Sand
Mars Sand is the top layer of the Mars Dimension. It cannot be crafted but can be mined. The preferred tool used to mine this is a shovel but still can be mined with your fist.
Mars Rock
Mars Rock is the underground layer of the Mars Dimension. It cannot be crafted but can be mined with a Wooden Pickaxe or greater.
Mars Basalt
Mars Basalt can be found in the Mars Dimension, which is generated by Mars Volcanoes. It cannot be crafted but can be mined with a Stone Pickaxe or greater.
Mars Glowstone
Mars Glowstone can be found in the Mars Dimension. They are generated in Lost Villager Houses. It can be crafted with 4 Mars Glowstone Dust. Drops 2-4 Mars Glowstone Dust when broken. There are no specific tools to break this block.

Can be smelted from Mars Rock.

Cracked Mars Rock Bricks
Cannot be crafted. Can be found in Mars at Martian Churches.
Mars Rock Bricks Slab
Can be crafted from Smooth Mars Rock & Mars Rock Bricks using Crafting Table or Stonecutter. Can also be found in Mars at Martian Churches.
Mars Rock Bricks Stairs
Can be crafted from Smooth Mars Rock & Mars Rock Bricks using Crafting Table or Stonecutter. Can also be found in Mars at Martian Churches.

Jarosite Ore
Can be found on Mars between Y-level 0-24. Drops Crystallized Jarosite when mined. Affected by Silk Touch and Fortune Enchantments.
Magnesium Ore
Can be found on Mars anywhere in the top layer of Martian Basalt Hills Biome. Drops Crystallized Magnesium when mined. Affected by Silk Touch and Fortune Enchantments.
Block of Jarosite
Crafted with 9 Jarosite Ingots. Can be used as a Beacon base.
Block of Magnesium
Crafted with 9 Magnesium Ingots. Can be used as a Beacon base.
Block of Iridium
Crafted with 9 Iridium Ingots. Can be used as a Beacon base.
Ancient Coffin
Found in the Martian Church on Mars buried under slabs. Cannot be crafted. Spawns Ancient Martian if broken in Survival mode or Adventure mode.
Meteor Block
Found from falling meteors. Can also be crafted with 4 Meteor Chunks. Will drop a Meteor Chunk if broken, can also be silk-touched.
Meteor Core
Found in the centre of a Meteor. Can also be crafted with 4 Meteor Core Chunks. Will drop a Meteor Core Chunk if broken, can also be silk-touched.
Meteoric Obsidian
Crafted with 1 Obsidian and 4 Meteor Chunks. Right click block with Meteor Core Chunk to get Iridium Nuggets.
Glowing Obsidian
Obtained by right-clicking Meteoric Obsidian with a Meteor Core Chunk and destroying block. DO NOT DESTROY IF YOU WANT IRIDIUIM!

Dropped by Ancient Martian or can be crafted from Magnesium Ingot.
Magnesium Ingot
Dropped rarely by Ancient Martian or can be crafted from 9 Crystallized Magnesium or Block of Magnesium.
Crystallized Jarosite
Can be acquired by smelting 1 Jarosite Ore or crafted from Jarosite Ingot.
Jarosite Ingot
Can be crafted from 9 Crystallized Jarosite or Block of Jarosite.
Iridium Nugget
Obtained by right-clicking a Meteor Core Chunk on Meteoric Obsidian and waiting 1500 Minecraft ticks.
Iridium Ingot
Can be crafted from 9 Iridium Nuggets or a Block of Iridium.
Martian Fireball
Used as ammo for the Jarosite Gun. Can be crafted from 1 Fire Charge & 4 Crystallized Jarosite.
Magnesium Rod
Used to craft Jarosite Sword, Pickaxe, Shovel, Axe & Hoe. Crafted with 2 Magnesium Ingots to get 4.
Mars Glowstone Dust
Can be used to craft Mars Glowstone. Obtained by breaking Mars Glowstone.
Meteor Chunk
Can be used to craft Meteoric Obsidian. Obtained by mining a Meteor Block.
Meteor Core Chunk
Can be used to obtain Iridium Nuggets. Obtained by mining Meteor Core.

Redstone Orb
The Redstone Orb can be crafted (see recipe below) and is the portal igniter for the Mars Dimension. Its durability is 64 uses.
Mars Drill
The Mars Drill cannot be crafted but can be found in the Lost Villager's House. It is a multi-tool that can be used as an Iron Pickaxe, Axe and Shovel. Its durability is 861 uses.
Magnesium Drill
Can be crafted from a Magnesium Ingot, Mars Drill and 5 Crystallized Magnesium. Its faster and more durable than the Mars Drill. Its durability is 1861 uses.
Jarosite gun
Can be crafted from 2 Magnesium Ingots & 5 Jarosite Ingots. Shoots Martian Fireballs. Its durability is 2100 uses.
Jarosite Sword
Crafted using 1 Magnesium Rod & 2 Jarosite Ingots. Its durabilaty is 1861 uses.
Jarosite Pickaxe
Crated using 2 Magnesium Rods & 3 Jarosite Ingots. Its durabilaty is 1861 uses.
Jarosite Axe
Crated using 2 Magnesium Rods & 3 Jarosite Ingots. Its durabilaty is 1861 uses.
Jarosite Shovel
Crated using 2 Magnesium Rods & 1 Jarosite Ingot. Its durabilaty is 1861 uses.

The Space Suit is used to go to the Mars Dimension. You will need the full suit to enter Mars otherwise you'll get Nausea and Take damage without the Helmet, and Nausea without the Suit, Pants and Boots. They are craftable (see recipies below).
